A 9.30am, Classic Service will be followed by  a Contemporary Service at 11.00am (a mix of musical worship and sermon) Refreshments are served at about 10.30am, between these two services; a wonderful occasion for a whole church gathering.

What will each Sunday service
look like?

The 9.30am Classic Service

will be Eucharistic centred, reflective and classical in tone

  • 1st, 2nd & 4th Sunday with Holy Communion
  • 2nd and 5th Sunday with Morning Worship

We shall use hymn books, orders of service and a variety of music to suit the occasion.

The 11.00am Contemporary Service

will be a mix of musical worship & sermon.

CAFE CHURCH

Cafe Church is on the first Sunday of each month, starting at 10:45 with coffee, croissants & pastries and other refreshments. The service starts at 11:00am and is an informal, family-based session with seating at tables in groups. There is a short sermon followed by questions and discussion amongst the groups.

This is followed by a craft/creative session themed on the content of the sermon and is fun for all the family. There are several contemporary worship songs during this service and sometimes, the kids and leaders all get up for a dance or group singing session!

2nd & 4th Sunday Contemporary Worship

Happens on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 11:00 am with the focus on praise and worship. These services are more informal but have a repeat theme from the morning’s classic service.

with Communion on 3rd and 5th Sundays.

3rd SERVICE

3rd Service_300Third Service is time set aside to welcome and enjoy the presence of God in an intimate atmosphere of worship, spontaneous music and song.

In these times we seek to hear God’s voice and listen, know His touch, and respond.

3rd Sunday of each month from 7:00pm

MEETING TOGETHER AS A CHURCH, BETWEEN SERVICES

DSCN4498

Why change?

We need to provide a variety of options for all of our worshipping community; everyone can find their place.

Our first Sunday of the month ‘format’ with 9.30am Communion, has been a great success and welcome the opportunity of building on that success.

There will be exciting, new opportunities for developing the Contemporary service drawing on the talents and gifts of the worshipping community and involving children and young people.

We free Sunday evenings for other services, such as a monthly prayer meeting.

10 am Every Thursday

An intimate and friendly midweek communion service for those who are around on a Thursday morning.

Messy Church1st Saturday of each month 4-6pm

Messy Church is an excellent introduction to church for any family with the following aims:

Christ-centred

Messy Church, while it may look like a craft club, is a church that helps people encounter Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

All-age

It is for adults and children to enjoy together – every element should be relevant and accessible to all ages.

Creativity

It uses hands-on activities to explore Bible stories, to reflect a God of creativity and to give people a chance to play together.

Hospitality

It reflects a God of unconditional love and is a church for people outside church, providing an oasis of welcome and a safe space in which to thrive. Messy Church is about hospitality, expressed most evidently by eating together – whether it’s a plate of sandwiches to share, or sausage and mash.

Celebration

It reflects a God of joy who wants his people to have life in all its fullness.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
