The church at St. Peter’s is much more than what we do on a Sunday morning…

We have fellowship throughout the week in various different ways:

Small groups or House Groups, are an essential part of our worshipping community, meeting on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at homes around the village or in the Hermitage.  Groups are open to all; those who worship at Churches in Ruddington and those for whom the group itself is their spiritual ‘home’.

Young and old meet together where there are no barriers, no preconditions; just prayer, praise, Bible study and fellowship. There are currently 8-9 groups meeting weekly with one to your needs; just ask and you will be made most welcome and – ‘at home’.

“My transition into St. Peter’s was made complete, as soon as I embraced the small group I joined. The difference in my spiritual walk is very obvious and for me, small groups is like oxygen – essential!”

TAG (Tuesday Afternoon Group)Started in 1996, TAG meets, yes you’ve guessed, on Tuesday afternoons, on the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month, term-time only throughout the year. TAG is designed for ladies of any age, members of any church or none and meets from 2.30pm to 4.00pm in the Hermitage.

The main purpose of the group is one of Christian fellowship, a supportive ‘pastoral’ group, sharing praise, prayer and Bible readings.

In addition to the tea and cakes, we aim to get out and about two or three times a year, for lunch together.

TAG is a welcoming group, always on the lookout for new members, so if you’re new to the village or at a loose end on Tuesday afternoons come and meet us.

Three of four times a year we hold a  Men’s Breakfast in the Hermitage. Held on a Saturday morning at 8.30am, we have a Full English Breakfast and fellowship, followed by a short (5 min) talk.

A canal cruise has been a Summer feature for several years, meandering through the ‘idyllic’ English countryside. Check with the Church calendar for details of the next event.
